History
In 1956, Rimrock Corporation was founded by Franz Stone as a supplier of spray equipment to foundries, glass and rubber molders, and extruders. The name “Rimrock” was adopted as a tribute to Franz’s grandfather who was nicknamed “Rimrock” due to his love of geology and the Grand Canyon. The name is also a play on words honoring the founding family’s last name of Stone or “Rock.”
Over the last 50 years, Rimrock’s vision for superior customer service and a rugged product line has grown from a small family owned business into an automation leader in the die casting, foundry and forging industries. Standard product offerings including ladles, reciprocators and extractors have given accuracy, consistency and efficiency to our customer’s process while providing a safe, working environment. We have also expanded our expertise by forming strategic partnerships with ABB and Fill to offer complete robot systems and de-coring technology.
Rimrock is headquartered in Columbus, OH with an additional business segment, Wolf Robotics, located in Ft. Collins, CO. Wolf Robotics is dedicated to robotic arc welding and cutting, machine tending, material handling, and material removal. Together the two locations have installed over 8,200 robots.
